In Room Dining Captain

The In Room Dining Captain is responsible for the smooth and efficient service of In Room Dining Shifts. The In Room Dining Captain assists the IRD Supervisor in effectively and proactively monitoring the daily functions of the In Room Dining Department. You will be providing support and guidance to fellow IRD ambassadors, ensuring a successful and effective operation, and as a result exceed our hotel guest’s expectations on a daily basis.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

  • Supervise staff and collaborate with other hotel departments
  • Provide ongoing training and support to all IRD ambassadors while on shift
  • Proactively review staffing and equipment, and consistently communicate department needs to the IRD Supervisor
  • Continually ensure all aspects of the shift are up to hotel standards
  • Maintain and develop an environment centered on guest experience and service excellence
  • Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up/break down of all IRD shifts
  • Oversee proper execution of all IRD orders and amenities, including working with CBD Provisions, Front Desk, PBX
  • Complete and communicate appropriate reports, including daily check lists, amenity sheets, end of day notes
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisor

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

 

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptionally detail oriented with impeccable service and presentation standards
  • Refined knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • Sense of urgency to complete tasks, and service guests in a timely manner
  • Ability to mediate in all situations with guests and ambassadors
  • Willingness to mentor ambassadors in continual training and growth
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Operate with passion, respect, integrity, dedication and empowerment to all internal and external guests
