Guest Services Manager

As a Guest Services Manager, you will assist on providing an exceptional guest experience. You will play a pivotal role of maintaining all arrival and departure experiences up to Company’s standards. You will assist with overseeing the Concierge and Bellman positions. Responsible for all interviews and hires of new Ambassadors. Counsels, and disciplines Ambassadors as needed and effectively recommends suspension, and/or termination. Trains all Guest Services Ambassadors. Maintain labor costs within budgets as directed by the financial budge of the hotel and department. Good thorough knowledge of local area attractions and other selections of alternatives for our guest satisfaction. Act as Manager on Duty for the Hotel in the absence of the Manager on Duty dealing with complaints, problem solving, disturbances, special requests and any other issues that may arise.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a professional and high quality service orientated environment at all times
  • Act as a Manager on Duty for the Hotel in the absence of the Manager on Duty dealing with complaints, problem solving, disturbances, special requests and any other issues that may arise
  • Occasionally assist guests with their luggage, be a point of contact for our guests, valet park cars and other responsibility to ensure all requirements are met during our guests stay
  • Meet and greet VIP’s upon arrival and also at departure
  • Assisting with the continued development of the Concierge and Bellmen Ambassadors.
  • Monitor and develop all Ambassadors to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, assigning nightly work, conducting training, conducting counseling and evaluations
  • Complete any and all additional projects as directed by management
  • Participate in the selection of the Guest Service personnel
  • Works within the allocated budget for the Front Office
  • Responsible for maintaining all AAA and Forbes standards
  • Ensure the accurate completion of all daily tasks
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader
  • Reports directly to the Assistant Director of Rooms

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Available to work a varied work schedule that will include weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Organized and detail orientated with the ability to be flexible
  • Must possess the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner
  • Strong computer skills
  • Operate with passion, respect, integrity, dedication and empowerment to all internal and external guests

EXPECTED SCHEDULEDue to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel including weekends and holidays.In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
