Restaurant Supervisor

The Mirador Supervisor is a highly visible role that reports to the General Manager. The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the Restaurant. The Restaurant Supervisor will ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitable. They must coordinate a variety of activities on a day to day basis. The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for the business performance of the restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, and health safety.

Skill and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Elevated wine and beverage knowledge
  • Able to lift at least 35 lbs
  • Able to work for extended hours on your feet
  • Elevated food knowledge
  • TABC certified
  • Valid Texas Food Manager certificate
  • Strong working knowledge of Opentable
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Job Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Provide leadership, vision and direction to bring together and prioritize the departmental goals in a way that will be efficient and effective.
  • Proactively interact with guests to exceed expectations and create loyalty.
  • Partner with all departments within retail space and hotel to create a team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws/regulations, compliance with food handling/sanitation standards and local, state and Federal liquor laws.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of current culinary trends.
  • Consistently remain self-driven, innovative and posses the commitment become an industry leader.
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge.
  • Review staffing levels to ensure guest experience, operational needs and financial objectives are met.
  • Recruit and retain a service team that is passionate about their craft, respectful of others and genuinely committed to exceeding guest expectations.
  • Serve as a role model and demonstrate appropriate and professional behavior.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Identify training and developmental needs of staff to provide an environment of learning and growth.
  • Provide leadership, vision and direction to bring together and prioritize the departmental goals in a way that will be efficient and effective.
  • Ensure compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards and procedures by training, supervising, follow-up and hands on management.
  • Display leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify excellent service and create a positive atmosphere for internal and external guests
