Banquet Server

Role/Purpose/Overall Expectations Of This Position:

While the ideal candidate will have a solid experience, working in our restaurant will require an eagerness for learning and development.

Expected Schedule:

Variable Schedule including some weekends and holidays

Outline Of The Role:

  • Display a warm, personalized and caring welcome by greeting our guests upon arrival to their table
  • Present menus, answer questions and make personalized suggestions regarding food and beverage pairings
  • Place guest’s orders according to cooking and prep times, ensuring a seamless and impeccable service
  • Partner with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests’ expectations
  • Communicate with guests to ensure their satisfaction and collect additional feedback and insights
  • Respond to additional guests requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
  • Clean and set up the dining areas for the following service
  • Refill service areas according to the departments’ standards
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader

Key Skills Required:

  • Exhibit food knowledge
  • Must be able to detail and define all ingredients on the food menu, and recommend menu pairings accordingly
  • Must be familiar with cooking methods and prep times
  • Display wine and beverage knowledge
  • Must maintain accuracy of all items on the food, cocktail, beer, and wine menu
  • Organized and detail oriented with the ability to be flexible
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Operate with passion, respect, integrity, dedication and empowerment to all internal and external guests

Experience/Education Requirements:

High SchoolDiploma Preferred

Minimum 1+ year experience in a restaurant environment required

1+ year experience in a fine dining restaurant preferred
