Concierge

Role/Purpose/Overall Expectations Of This Position:

As a Concierge, you will fill a pivotal role in helping to deliver exceptional guest service and to make sure high standards are maintained. You will handle all incoming guest requests and will provide special assistance and information about local area, attractions, offering a wide selection of alternatives for our guest satisfaction. Additionally, you will make sure every guest is looked after upon arrival and during all stages of their stay until the very moment of their departure.

Expected Schedule:

Variable Schedule including some weekends and holidays

Outline Of The Role:

  • Promptly answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • Arrange and confirm recreation, business, and dining activities for guests
  • Arrange for guest transportation as requested
  • Retrieve guest messages and communicate the content to the guest
  • Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints, and take appropriate action and follow up
  • Assist with check in and check out and offer a warm welcome and departure experience to our guests
  • Balance all cash, check and credit card accounts through verification
  • Assist guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest
  • Take initiative in accommodating the guests’ needs by working closely with all department within the hotel
  • Use up-selling techniques to maximize room rates
  • Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader

Key Skills Required:

  • Available to work a varied schedule that will include evenings and weekends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled at establishing effective relationships with guests and external partners
  • Organized and detail oriented with the ability to be flexible
  • Must possess the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner
  • Must have strong computer skills.
  • Operate with passion, respect, integrity, dedication and empowerment to all internal and external guests

Experience/Education Requirements:

High School Diploma preferred

1+ yearFront Desk/Concierge experience at a comparable quality property preferred
